Gettin bigger

                                                                          Week #6
                                                                             Week #5
                                                                       Week #4
Week #3

My strawberry plant is to the point where I need to take it out of its little green house, and transplant it to a bigger container. I will then see how my plant does outside. My sister has strawberry plants, and has to keep a cage over them so the birds don't eat them. I don't think I'm going to get any strawberries this year, so I'm not sure if I need to worry about that.  My plant is actually starting to look like a miniature strawberry plant, and is growing rapidly.

This week I will be begin to write my research paper. After great though I decided to write my paper on eggs and how they affect our minds. It was difficult for me to pick what I wanted to write about, because the lack of information on different foods. I kept seeing different things on eggs and how nutritious they are, plus I LOVE to eat them. Writing this paper will be kind of out of my comfort zone, because of the research aspect. I will have to work on citing, rewording, and putting direct quotes in to my paper. I'm hoping that since I found a good topic to write about that this paper will come together, and be a good paper.

From the begging...

Week #2
                                                                           Day #1 April, 3rd
                                                                        Day #1

We were told by our English 99 instructor the first few days of class that we had to grow something we could later eat by the end of the quarter. I have never been a huge fan of vegetables, so I knew I wanted to do something different then the rest of the class. One afternoon, I was shopping with my sister and mom, and came a cross a kids strawberry experiment pack. It looked perfect for someone whose never grown a thing in their life, which is me! I decided to give it a try. It was only three dollars so if it didn't work it wasn't a big deal. When I got home I took apart the little package, and started reading the directions. It seemed almost too essay. All you had to do its add water to a little round compacted piece of dirt, add the seeds, and shut the lid. At that point I really didn't think it was gonna work. I planted the seeds on the 3rd of April, and ten days later it surprisingly started to sprout! I was very excited that it worked.:)

I never would of thought their would be so much excitement growing a plant. I've never been one to have a green thumb. Doing this assignment has really opened my eyes to the sense of accomplishment you can get with growing a plant. I know that once I can actually eat the strawberries, that I grew myself I'm really going to feel like I achieved something. It goes the same with my writing skills. I have never been a good writer, but when I do see my improvement, it boosts my confidence. Sometimes that all you need to succeed.

Big Beans

My bean stalk is growing so fast ,its tall and looks great never thought it would grow so fast didn't think I had a green thumb I'm sure it will be a great stalk looking for jack to come and climb it soon .
